Mayor Peterson to present 2007 city & county budgets tonight
Public safety, criminal justice system to be primary focus of budgets
INDIANAPOLIS – Mayor Bart Peterson will present the proposed budgets for 2007 for the City of Indianapolis and Marion County before the City-County Council tonight.
This is the Mayor’s seventh city budget – which includes Indianapolis police and fire services, parks, public works and other city services. Tonight marks the second time Peterson has presented a budget for county government, which funds the sheriff, prosecutor, county jail, probation and other countywide services.
