The Marion County Traffic Safety Partnership (MCTSP) is a countywide law enforcement and community effort dedicated to reducing authomobile crashes through public awareness campaigns and overtime traffic patrols. Our enforcement efforts include high crash intersection enforcement, DWI saturation patrols and checkpoints, interstate enforcement, seat belt and child restraint enforcement, bicycle enforcement, school zone enforcement, Fatal Alcohol Crash Team and our newest enforcement effort (DDACTS) data driven approaches to crime and traffic safety.
Besides our enforcement efforts the MCTSP conducts public information and education through free child seat clinics, pedestrian and bicycle safety programs in area schools, bicycle rodeos and participates in community events. The MCTSP works closely with the Indiana Automotive Safety program at Riley Hospital, Safe Kids Indiana, ABATE, Advocates Against Impaired Driving, the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute and other organizations.
The MCTSP has been nationally recognized numerous times by the International Association of Chief's of Police and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The Chairman of the Partnership is the Marion County Prosecutor. Our law enforcement members include the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, Speedway Police Department, Lawrence Police Department, Cumberland Police Department, Butler University Police Department, and the Indiana State Police Department District #52.
