John Ball,
Director of Marion County Emergency Management
Welcome to the Emergency Management Division. The Division plays a critical role in preparing Indianapolis and Marion County for any disaster. The Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) details our response to all hazards. The Plan is under constant review and is continually updated to reflect changes in policies and procedures.
Emergency Preparedness is a community responsibility and you can help. Our Ready Indy Publication is a "how to" guide to help you prepare for a catastrophic event and sustain you and your family for up to 72 hours. Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) and Citizen Corps are designed to involve citizens in emergency response. We need your cooperation and support if we are to minimize the damage caused by a disaster.
