Indy Parks maintains and operates 206 park properties in Marion County. Each park offers unique and inexpensive recreational opportunities for you and your family. Below is a listing of the city parks offering programs or amenities.


REGIONAL PARKS
Indy Parks has six regional parks that provide natural settings and a sense of remoteness from urban life. Regional parks feature scenic views, lakes, rivers or ponds, and cultural amenities. It is our goal to preserve these unique landscapes and open spaces in and around Indianapolis so residents may enjoy them for many years to come.

COMMUNITY PARKS
Community parks are the second-largest parks within Indy Parks. Amenities include family centers, nature centers, sports facilities and more! If you are looking to take a dance class, enroll in swim lessons, or want a place to play a weekend game of baseball, check out a community park.

NEIGHBORHOOD/MINI PARKS

Neighborhood parks are the most numerous in Indy Parks' inventory. These parks serve individual communities and neighborhoods throughout the city. Neighborhood parks have playgrounds and picnic shelters, and some even have water spray features to keep kids cool in the summer. If you're looking to hold a family gathering or a Sunday picnic, check out the neighborhood park nearest you.

These recreation areas are purposely left undeveloped for the enjoyment of people looking to escape city life.

*This includes usage of outdoor park property such as, but not limited to, playgrounds, sledding hills, trails and fields.

Please note some Indy Parks facilities may stay open past dusk for programs and events.  Refer to each park page for its facility hours.
