The City of Indianapolis Brownfields Redevelopment Program is hosting an open forum to encourage community involvement in brownfields redevelopment.

Please join us in discussing brownfield redevelopment issues! The Forum is open to any interested person; community involvement is crucial.

  • Recent success stories
  • Continuing brownfields projects
  • Current Requests for Proposals (RFP)
  • Brownfields Tax Reduction or Waiver
  • Brownfield Incentives (Indiana Finance Authority)

In an effort to improve the Indianapolis area, the City of Indianapolis Brownfields Program is striving to form collaborative partnerships with members of the community and government. This is an opportunity to get involved in redevelopment and have your questions answered.

Brownfields

Brownfields are found in all areas of the country. Brownfields are underutilized commercial and industrial properties that harbor perceived or real contamination within their boundaries that may indeed affect the entire neighborhood that surrounds them.

There are numerous benefits to Brownfields redevelopment. Brownfields redevelopment benefits property owners, neighborhoods, business, government, and the environment. These benefits include:
